Half of bombs falling on Gaza supplied by Europe - Former EU official

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has persisted for decades, with repeated military offensives in Gaza exacerbating humanitarian crises. International officials and human rights groups have increasingly criticized Israeli policies and accused them of violating international law.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Former EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell sharply criticized the European Union on Friday for its failure to act against Israel’s military offensive in Gaza, stating that “half of the bombs falling on Gaza are supplied by us.” His remarks came during a speech at the Carlos V European Award ceremony in Spain’s Yuste Monastery.

Borrell described the situation in Gaza as “genocide” and accused the EU of not using its influence to protest Israeli actions. He called the ongoing crisis “the biggest ethnic cleansing operation since World War II,” claiming that the destruction of Gaza is aimed at making way for a luxury holiday resort.

The former diplomat accused Israel of violating international laws of warfare, using starvation as a weapon, and dropping three times the explosive power of the Hiroshima bomb on Gaza. He condemned statements by Israeli officials that he believes openly declare genocidal intent.
